Fruit Cobbler

Simple and Easy! This dessert is one of our camping favorites! My youngest son makes this recipe almost every trip!

1 Can fruit pie filling (your choice). We love mixed berries
1 package refrigerator biscuits (4 or 8 count is fine)
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbs brown or white sugar

Spray cast iron skillet with non-stick spray or coat liberally with cooking oil. Pour pie filling into cast iron skillet. Separate and place biscuits on top of pie fillings. Sprinkle biscuits with cinnamon and sugar. Cover with foil and place at least 12 inches above fire. The steam created by the boiling fruit filling will help to steam and cook biscuits.  Cooking times will vary based on fire temperature and distance to fire. Make sure to check biscuits for doneness. Never eat raw dough!!

Mixture will be extremely hot! So allow to cool before placing in bowls! Enjoy!

Helpful tips: Invest in Coleman Parchment Paper Dutch Oven Liners. Makes clean-up a breeze! Just cut the liners to fit your pan. Be careful not to have any exposed as it will catch fire.
